Partner : Clubul Sportiv Agronomia Bucuresti (Sports Club Agronomy Bucharest)
Initially, the project started with 18-year-olds, with 16 girls, USAMV students and students from the clubs with whom the club concluded a partnership (selection / initiation) In 2015 we started the U-18 project in schools, colleges and social centers for children with the program: selection, initiation and competitions RUBGY – TAG.
We formed a group of 20 girls between 15-17 years old and we enrolled the team in the national U-18 championship organized by FRR, starting in 2017. We are the only club in Romania with both teams registered in the competitions organized by FRR. The rugby activity (training) takes place in the sports complex of the University (land, games, room and fitness strength gym), the days and hours vary by the school schedule of participant sand the sports teachers in the schools / colleges / faculties with which we have a partnership. We set up a Juniors ‘Parents’ Committee with coaches to propaganda to: SPORTS EDUCATION in schools / co-schools where we go together explaining the students about RUGBY SPIRIT (RESPECT, PASSION, INTEGRITY, SOLIDARITY, CAMARADERIA AND DISCIPLINE) We try to attract girls from other sports to rugby and we have a collaboration with the NATIONAL ACADEMY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION and SPORT from BUCHAREST in this respect.
During this short period we managed to promote to the OLIMP CENTER FOR YOUTH 4 sports and to the NATIONAL SENIOR TEAM 2 sports.
Partener: Klub Sportowy “BUDOWLANI” –Łódź (Poland)
KS BudowlaniŁódź was found in 1948 and in 1968 rugby became one of the sports which members could choose. Thanks to the hard work and passion of the people involved in our club rugby became one of the major sports in city of Łódź. Our senior men’s team won national championships five times, in 1983, 2006 & 2007, 2009 & 2010.
Currently we are one of the clubs in Poland that have teams in all youth categories in which there are competitions (U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18). We have 200 players in all youth age grade groups of which 35 are girls. Most of our players, both girls and boys, starts playing very early and continues through all teams. Our coaches are engaged in “Rugby Tag” programme, managed by Polish Rugby Union and financed by Polish Ministry of Sport and Tourism, to introduce rugby to children and teachers in primary schools.
Additionally we are organising rugby tag tournaments, in which local schools can participate, in order to promote rugby in Łódź and search for talented players.
Partner: Lifeshaker – Associação (Portugal)
Lifeshaker is a Youth Association recognized by the IPDJ (Portugal Institute for youth and sport). Founded in 2009, its main objective is the promotion of culture and recreation as means of non-formal education, targeting the young population living in disadvantaged neigh bor hoods of the Municipality of Almada.
We develop educational projects in the field of Art, Sport and Citizenship - promoters of healthy lifestyles as the basis for development of positive and enriching life projects. It is relevant to our participation in areas linked to youth policies, both at local(member entity of the Municipal Youth Forum and Municipal Forum for Gender Equality), and at national level (Entity consulted by the Natinal Youth Council in the field of Health, Sports and Employment), as well as action within the Commission for the Protection of Children and Young people of Almada, being elected successively as entity representative of the Local Youth Association since 2011.
The project “School of Rugby” has been developed since 2012 in Almada, intervening in the areas of Social Inclusion and Education through Sport, defining itself as a space for learning (Respect, Integrity, Passion, Solidarity and Discipline), to the life contexts of the participants, resulting in individual and collective processes for the acquisition of personal and social competences.
For the implementation of this project we have as partners, the National Federation of Rugby and the National Institute for youth and sport. Currently at “School of Rugby”, there are 282 participants (136M / 146F), ranging from initiation to practice to high level competition, reconciling: support and school attendance, provision of leisure activities, integration into volunteering, as well as vocational guidance.
As part of this project, we have been leading a women’s team since 2014, participating in the existing National competitions. From the results and achievements of this team we highlight the victory in the National tournament of U17 (2017/2018), the selection of three athletes in the National Women’s Team that reached the 4th place in the 2017 European Women´s U18 Sevens Championship and the selection of two athletes to the National Women´s team that disputed among other competitions the 2018 Rugby Europe Women’s Sevens Grand Prix Series.
Partner: Club Deportivo CHAÑE (Spain)
The Club Deportivo CHAÑE (C.D. Chañe) is a modern Club in a rural area, but with a wide radius of action and influence, which works on the idea of offering responsible participation and energizing a rural area with scarce in the sports field and in free time. The C.D. Chañe is the main element in the area that enables and works for the union of cultures since in the town there are inhabitants of some 10 different nationalities that represent nothing less than 38% of the population, reaching this number to 50% in certain times of the year.
C.D. Chañe was created by a group of sports fans, who bet on making known to future generations the practice of sport as healthy and indispensable habit in the life of a person. Encourage and practice sport in all its forms, organizing sports activities and collaborating with Public and Private Entities. The C.D. Chañe has teams in different sports: Futbol indoor; kayak polo; Cycling, Kimball.
Also has experience in organize and promote many other sports like Rugby. The C.D. Chañe has a strong relationship with many other sport clubs in the region. It promotes event and project for foster values and attitudes which are very useful for youth people.
All the activities and the projects we have developed have had a great impact in a local and national level. At present the CLUB has 60 - 80 members with ages from 16 to 35 years. Are club purposes:
- To promote the inclusion and development of the female gender in sport.
- To encourage multicultural integration in Chañe (there is 38% of the immigrant population).
- Develop sports physical activities.
- To encourage, disseminate, practice and promote the idea of physical exercise and sports in general.
- To train athletically and educationally through sports and non-formal education to its associates and closest circles.
- To participate in federated Competitions.
- To promote the participation and acquisition of skills in European and international mobility programs and activities to share experiences and different methods of sports practice, alternative leisure, training and healthy habits.
